One of the places locally we like to go for family outings is The pond at the now defunct Trojan Nuclear facility. These are lots of walking paths, wildlife, picnic tables, restrooms, fishing and a little picturesque bridge. One day last summer, during early July We managed to get there pretty early in the day, and the light was just beautiful. One of the first things that you see when pulling in is a flock of geese that likes to hang out near the shore.
