On several of my walks out and about this summer, I spotted these California poppies growing at the edge of a gravel strewn parking lot. The gravel creates a nice texture in the background of these photos. Introducing a blue, purple, or brown graduated tint during the photo editing process produced a beautiful compliment to the orange color of these wildflowers. I love how it also gives a bit of a moonlit or twilight feel to these images.
